Andel wins contract to supply leak detection to Singapore financial centre

Award-winning manufacturer, Andel has secured a prestigious export contract to supply Floodline to the financial heart of Singapore.

The Yorkshire company won the £75,000 contract to install water leak detection systems on each floor of Tower 1 and Tower 2 in Marina Bay Financial Centre.

The appointment follows last year’s installation of Andel’s Floodline system in the Shard, the Houses of Parliament, the O2, the ‘Walkie Talkie’ building and Canary Wharf.

Commercial Director, Mark Harris, said: ‘We are delighted to have won this contract in such a high profile and prestigious place in the world. This is a really big breakthrough for us. It’s the largest Floodline export we’ve ever had.

‘Despite the fears over Brexit, we’ve seen no downturn in business anywhere. On the contrary, business has rocketed for us. The pound has fallen in value which makes our product cheaper and therefore even more attractive to international partners.’

Antonio Jo, Director, LSPL & Company Pte Ltd, said: ‘We appointed Andel because of their expertise and in-depth knowledge of all aspects relating to leak detection.

‘We had previously used their product on a single, small project and after we tested their demo kit, felt very confident about working with them.

‘Floodline matched perfectly with requirements as a ‘plug and play’ type of product.

‘Brexit did not affect our decision. We were confident of the quality of the Andel product and of their technical support – and that was more important to us.

‘Andel is a trusted company who we want to work with long-term.’
