Carillion secures £90m defence contract in Cyprus

The UK Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has awarded Carillion a £90 million contract to design and build a communications centre in Cyprus.

The centre will be a single story building, approximately 10,000 square metres in area, with temperature and humidity controlled environments.

Speaking about the contract award, Chief Executive of Carillion plc, Richard Howson, said:

“We are delighted to have been selected by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation to design and build this project and we look forward to building on the strong relationship we have with the DIO as we work closely together to deliver this important new facility.”

Carillion will start construction works in April 2017 with completion scheduled for the end of January 2019.
