CBRE lands national FM contract down under

CBRE’s Asset Services business in Australia has been appointed by Charter Hall to provide facilities management services for 153 office and industrial properties across the country.

Charter Hall is one of Australia’s largest property groups with a total managed property portfolio of AU$19.8 billion. Since its inception in 1991, the company has operated its FM team via an outsourced property model.

With a view to implementing a new generation service model, Charter Hall recently tendered its FM contract for two separate portfolios, comprising 43 office towers totalling approximately 800,000 square metres and 110 industrial assets totalling 2,500,000 square metres.

Commenting on the contract award, CBRE’s Pacific Head of Asset Services, Amanda Steele, said: “We are delighted to have secured this contract from the incumbent, providing us the opportunity to partner with Charter Hall and assist in delivering on their overall portfolio objectives. We look forward to implementing a new generation service model, which has an overriding focus on Charter Hall’s tenant customers, service excellence and innovation.”
