During its eighth year of partnership with the charity, the catering and support services firm has supported particular initiatives such as the Winter Run, Britain’s Biggest Breakfast, Magical May and the London Marathon.
The Britain’s Biggest Breakfast campaign, saw different units organise fundraising activities over a week in March. Employees were supported by a digital media campaign, and posted footage of them making their breakfasts, to raise awareness of the week.
Magical May, another Compass wide initiative, challenged each of its 15,000 units to raise at least £100 for CRUK during the month.
As a result, the past few months has seen thousands of colleagues take part in locally planned fundraising activities from bake sales, quizzes, fancy dress days, raffles, auctions and donation stations. Some of the events this year included a 20 mile walk through Derby, a sponsored walk through Sandringham Hospital to Sandringham Estate and a charity music night in Uxbridge.
