Emprise pledges support to helping the Armed Forces

Support services provider, Emprise Services plc has signed up to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant, and demonstrated its commitment to the armed forces and helping ex-service personnel return back into civilian life.

The company recognised that transitioning into civilian life can be challenging, so as an armed forces job provider it is able to provide an additional avenue of employment through its recruitment process in partnership with the Armed Forces Career Transitional Partnership (CTP).

Mark Langworthy Managing Director of Emprise Security Division[1]Mark Langworthy, managing director of Emprise’s Security division, said:

“Emprise Services are proud to be associated with the armed forces and pledge our support in helping those who have served our country get back into civilian life and employment. We appreciate that service leavers have significant expertise and transferable skills, particularly in the security field, which can bring benefits such as teamwork, planning, leadership and communication to a business such as ours.”

The Covenant is a written and publicised voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to show their support for the armed forces community.

Each organisation is encouraged to offer support in a way most appropriate to their situation and capacity, with the pledge document including a ‘menu’ of options covering employment support for veterans, reservists, service spouses and partners, as well as support for cadet units, Armed Forces Day, and discounts for the armed forces community. There is also an opportunity for companies and charitable organisations to add their own commitments based on local circumstances.
