Incentive FM goes Scooby Doo for charity

Independent facilities management company, Incentive FM, got into gear this autumn by throwing its weight behind the 2017 Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice Soapbox Derby. The organisation proudly sponsored the event for the second year running, which recently took place at Clifton Park in Rotherham.

More than 3,500 people headed to the park to watch various customised free-wheeling vehicles make their way around the course to raise vital funds for the hospice. A team from Crystal Peaks Shopping Mall & Retail Park in Sheffield, where Incentive FM Group provides a total facilities management service, took part in the event under the name Team Zoinks, in homage to their cartoon hero Scooby Doo. The crew crafted their Mystery Machine vehicle using a frame from an old go-kart plus wheelchair wheels!

Whilst Team Zoinks did not complete the second run on the course due to technical problems following a daring ramp jump, the event was a huge success, raising more than £20,000.

Glenn Wilson, Operations Director from Incentive FM, said: “We are extremely proud to sponsor this fantastic event, which has raised a very significant amount of money for such a wonderful cause. Each team who spent time carefully building and courageously driving their vehicles has made a real difference to Bluebell Wood. A massive congratulations to everybody who took part.”
