Waste and recycling brokers, UK Waste Solutions Limited (UKWSL), has launched an emergency waste and removal clean-up service under the name of ukwslreact.
The new service comes at a time when fly-tipping in particular has become an increasing significant issue for councils and private landowners. The Country and Land Business Association recently estimated the cost of cleaning-up unauthorised dumping of waste, at £100-£150 million per year and local councils issued in the region of 56,000 fixed penalty notices for fly-tipping in 2016 alone.
Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to government bodies, businesses and private individuals alike, ukswlreact has been split into two main divisions, both of which offer a four-hour response time:
- Emergency recycling and waste management services for peak demand waste collection, sewage spill clearance, emergency food waste collection, fly-tipping clearance, construction waste, property clearance, fire and flood waste removal and hazardous waste removal.
- Emergency cleaning providing rapid intervention and extreme cleaning, flood and fire damage cleaning/drying, sewage site decontamination, graffiti removal, hygienic deep cleaning, biocontainment cleaning, after-builders cleaning and high-level access cleaning.
Commenting on the launch of the company’s latest service, Managing Director Max Kanda said: “We are very excited to launch our latest service proposition to the market. We believe ukwslreact offers an unrivalled service not only in terms of speed and efficiency but by adhering to the highest possible health and safety standards. We have had excellent feedback from our customers to date who have welcomed a service that keeps their business operations compliant, efficient, sustainable and running smoothly.”
