ABC Group becomes ABEC

The Automated Building Controls Group has changed to ABEC, which stands for Automated Building & Energy Controls. The change reflects the increasing importance of energy at the heart of building performance and the key role building controls have to play in driving efficiency for clients’ cost and carbon savings.

ABEC---1-MIFM-March2014Providing an integrated solution for clients’ building controls, ABEC’s experience means it can not only specify the best controls solution, but it can also ensure ongoing performance and optimisation. Once a system is installed and commissioned accurately, a ‘best fit’ maintenance package – tailored to the client’s needs – ensures the building is covered by ABEC’s flexible and holistic approach to building controls.

Synonymous with value, ABEC will continue to provide the detailed level of service current clients have come to expect. With a national spread of engineers who are all equipped with specialist controls knowledge, ABEC can respond quickly and efficiently to its clients’ calls. A proactive approach also means that when ABEC provides a quote based on a client’s requirements, it takes a proactive stance in offering alternative approaches, to provide a full view of all the options available, usually resulting in cost savings to the original specification.

Equally, when a client contacts ABEC’s dedicated technical helpdesk, they can do so with the reassurance that the right advice is just a call away, potentially removing the need and cost of an engineer call-out.

The ABEC team’s commitment to quality also remains the mainstay of this new brand. By constantly auditing and addressing its own processes and systems, the company ensures it maintains consistent improvement of its own quality. Central to this is a ‘plain English’ approach that aims to cut through the confusion surrounding building and energy controls that prevails in the market.

Speaking about the change, Daniel Kittow, managing director of ABEC said:

“This change marks the increasing focus we all place on the integral role of energy in building performance. As building controls professionals we have been addressing energy use through effective controls for years. Our existing customers can expect the same customer-focussed service and technical expertise from industry-leading engineers because ABEC continues to be a privately owned and operated company. This gives us the ability to react swiftly to clients’ needs at the same time as delivering a flexible approach.”
