Specialist education caterer, Alliance in Partnership (AiP), has been awarded a £1 million contract to deliver catering services across the Severn Academies Educational Trust (SAET) which includes two secondary and five primary schools.
The contract, which will commence in September, extends AiP’s 20-year plus relationship with SAET at Kidderminsters’ Baxter College.
The schools, based in the Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire, include Stourport Primary Academy and Wolverley Sebright Primary which were previously served by AiP group company Class Catering, and will now be taken under the AiP brand. Stourport High School, St Bartholomew’s CE Primary, Hartlebury CE Primary and Wilden All Saints CE will become first time clients for AiP.
By bringing all of SAET’s schools under one contract, AiP says the Trust will “benefit from economies of scale”.
SAET Chief Executive, Chris King commented: “Cost savings will enable us to invest more in the education of our children, and AiP was selected through the competitive tendering process because its food is healthy, ethical and locally sourced.
“Through its primary Food Smart brand, AiP also encourages children to try new tastes and have fun with food, with themed events, food sampling and even hands on cooking.
“The Feed Me brand for secondary schools, reflects trends in food to go, cafe culture and street food for our high street savvy young people, as wells the choice of more formal sit-down lunches.”
