AM Services served a double dose of contract wins

Pharmaceutical organisation, Recipharm, has appointed AM Services Group to provide manned guarding services for a further three years at its site in Ashton-under-Lyne, as well as awarding them an additional contract for cleaning.

AM Services Group began providing security services at the Recipharm site in 2016, and the client listed ‘teamwork’, ‘trust’ and ‘quality’ when deciding to take the relationship forward.

Lesley Adams, Personal Assistant Recipharm, said: “They were very quick to understand our specific needs and pro-active in finding the right type of person to work for us. The staff are courteous and reliable, very good at what they do, and will use their time effectively so that we get the best possible service and maximise the value of the contract. They are a valuable part of our team.”

Recipharm in Ashton-under-Lyne is one of the global company’s solid dose facilities, located near to Manchester, with extensive experience in manufacturing and packaging tablets and capsules and over 50 years’ experience as a contract manufacturer. More than 115 different product codes are currently managed at the site, including solid dose, semi-solids and liquids. In a purpose built part of the facility – with separate HVAC – sexual hormone products are manufactured.

Over the last two years, AM Services Group staff have also undertaken spill kit training; the guards have been given responsibility for reporting maintenance issues; and the company’s specialist cleaning team has carried out ad hoc jet washing services for Recipharm.

AM Services Group’s Managing Director, Adrian Cresswell commented: “This partnership has flourished thanks to our knowledge and expertise in their sector and the high calibre of our staff. We are proud to continue working with the client and, having invested in new and easier to use cleaning equipment for the site, look forward to developing the cleaning service.”
