AM Services still trucking on at Leyland

Leyland Trucks has extended its contract with AM Services Group, for the provision of specialist paint booth cleaning at its assembly plant.

Leyland Trucks operates from one of Europe’s most advanced truck assembly facilities. The company employs 1,000 people, manufacturing the full range of DAF products, of which around half is exported to the European union markets and around the world. A ‘jewel in the crown of British manufacturing’, Leyland Trucks receives regular praise for its efficiency, safety and cleanliness, both in internal and external benchmarking exercises.

AM Services Group has been working with Leyland Trucks since 2010.

Senior Maintenance Engineer for Leyland Trucks, Phil Glover, commented: “The company has been working in our paint booths for many years now. They are experienced in this field and know what to touch and, most importantly, what not to touch. They ensure robust control processes and support our stringent risk review system. A strong partnership has developed over the years. We can be honest and open with each other and transparency is so important for us.”

Paul Nelson, AM Services Group’s General Manager for the company’s specialist cleaning division added: “Our specialist cleaning technicians have an impressive record of service at Leyland Trucks and we’re proud to maintain the paint booths to the very highest standards, supporting the company’s market leading standards and performance.”
