Amberstone secures multi-site deal with Midcounties Co-operative

Following a rigorous competitive tender process against other leading security firms, Amberstone Security has been appointed by the largest independent co-operative in the UK, Midcounties Co-operative, to provide a range of security services across its network throughout England.

Amberstone Security says it impressed Midcounties Co-operative with its “data-driven approach” which ensures it will save the client money whilst simultaneously reducing risk by supplying security officers, crime management services and remote monitoring solutions.

With over 300 stores and almost 700,000 members, Amberstone Security adds it will help to keep “customers and staff safe whilst they shop and work”.

Rupert Newman, Chief Retail Officer at The Midcounties Co-operative, said: “The safety of our colleagues, customers and members – that’s why we’re making such a significant investment to help prevent crime occurring in our stores and ensure that when incidents do happen, the perpetrators are held to account.

“By using the latest technology and further deepening our relationships with the Police, we are sending a clear message that we have a zero-tolerance approach to criminal incidents that could affect our colleagues, members, customers and local communities.

Dan Hardy, Managing Director at Amberstone Security, who was heavily involved in initiating the contract added: “We are delighted to be working with Midcounties Co-op, we’re excited to be supplying multiple security solutions to the largest independent co-operative in the UK.

“It’s a huge honour to have been selected, and we are thrilled to welcome the newly recruited Midcounties security team to the Amberstone family. Our team really make the difference – ensuring we have the right people, in the right places, at the right time.”
