Amulet appoints Iain Chorlton to lead Project Blueprint

Churchill Group’s specialist security division, Amulet, has appointed Iain Chorlton to the role of Specialist Services Director.

Chorlton has been recruited to lead Project Blueprint, a new movement in the private sector to make the UK a safer place to live, work and enjoy, which is being brought to the security market exclusively by Amulet. Project Blueprint shares a real-time situational awareness that will help to reduce risk, mitigate threat, improve preparedness, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Chorlton has more than 25 years of experience in taking critical lead roles in coordinating multi-agency responses to a broad range of crises, emergencies, and incidents. He has been at the forefront of national security and counter terrorism operations and leading the fight against organised criminality in the UK and overseas – operating at the extreme levels of threat and risk. He has successfully delivered safe and secure environments at large-scale public events including the Olympic Torch Relay, Tour de France, music concerts and numerous football league fixtures.

As a senior police officer, he has worked with a wide range of stakeholders providing counter terrorist guidance for public and private sector partners and event and crowded place protective security advice.

Commenting on Chorlton’s appointment, Darren Read, MD at Amulet, said: “The public sector and emergency service origins of Project Blueprint makes Iain the ideal person to lead its introduction in the private sector. Project Blueprint will transform security effectiveness for organisations and engender a security culture that will result in a safer future for all.”

Chortlton added: “The benefits of Project Blueprint has already stimulated significant interest across a wide range private sector organisations, whether that be increasing the efficient use of resources or creating environments to ensure people are safe and feel safe. The future of Project Blueprint is as an industry standard of excellence.”
