For the first time, the facilities management sector has been recognised at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Last night (28 November), Andrew Hulbert, Managing Director of Pareto FM, was awarded the service industry’s Entrepreneur of the Year accolade.

Now in its sixth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in Great Britain. The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names.

Ninety shortlisted nominees and their guests attended the ceremony in Bloomsbury, where the services entrepreneur trophy was presented to Hulbert.

Over 3,000 applications were made this year and Hulbert was up against tough competition in his category, including the likes of Broadgate Search, The Clerkenwell Brothers, Beiwei 55 Degrees Travel Ltd, The Air Agents, Halian, Skin Analytics and YR Live Ltd and YR Store Ltd.

Speaking about his award, Hulbert said: “I am humbled to have received the award for services sector entrepreneur of the year. This is recognition and acknowledgement for the entire FM industry and showcases the magnitude of what it can bring to the UK plc.

“I am lucky enough to work with incredible clients, without whom we couldn’t live and deliver the level of service we aspire to. It has been a record year for Pareto FM and this award win further cements our successes.”
