Arthur Mckay, the building support services company has achieved ISO 50001 certification across the organisation.
ISO 50001 supports organisations in reducing energy consumption, through the development of an energy management system. It is based on the continual improvement model of other ISO standards, and aims to make it easier for organisations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.
Michael Floyd, director of facilities services at Arthur McKay commented:
“The implementation of ISO 50001 allows us to reduce our impact on the environment, whilst delivering benefits to the bottom line. Our Sustainable Solutions model supports our clients in achieving this standard, complying with legislation and reducing their energy usage and carbon footprint.”
