Artic has secured a hard FM contract to provide electrical, mechanical and HVAC services to global publishing company, Penguin Random House LLC.
The PPM and reactive maintenance contract are for all properties within the Penguin Random House LLC national property portfolio, which includes a mix of office accommodation and warehouse/distribution centres comprising of two Central London buildings and national offices, archives, libraries and distribution centres through the north and south.
Artic stated the Publishers wanted a “partner to maintain the properties and proactively offer proposals and innovations to improve the working environment and performance of their buildings”.
Artic added it is looking forward “to building a solid partnership in which we can support the company’s needs and aspirations”.
As workplaces open up and restrictions lift the role of the FM has become more important than ever.
The challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic are now providing a valuable opportunity for FMs to demonstrate their skills and adaptability. Whilst on a practical level FMs are responsible for making buildings safe and comfortable, they are also crucial in attracting people back to the office.
