New managing director, Buswell, joins Axis from FM firm Servest, has worked in the support services sector for almost 20 years, having originally held a number of senior management posts at the Habitat Group. He has considerable experience in all areas of facilities management, lean management and harnessing group-wide services to deliver a unified single solution. His achievements in previous roles include creating a ‘Make Ready Scheme’ to continually clean emergency vehicles used by the London Ambulance Service, and managing the cleaning and waste at a number of key sites throughout the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic games.
Buswell’s appointment follows the recent successful rebrand of Axis Cleaning and Support Services from LPM Cleaning to bring the cleaning business in line with its sister business Axis Security and the wider Axis Group and is a reflection that Axis has significant plans to extend its cleaning offering, Group CEO Jonathan Levine, said:
“The business already has a strong reputation and Stuart’s role is to build on these foundations, taking the business into new market sectors and broadening the service it provides.”
“We will be further strengthening our sales and business development teams to support our ambitious strategy to grow the business both organically and through acquisition,” he added.
Among Buswell’s priorities will be to introduce a new IT platform and centralised helpdesk to further improve the customer experience, and implement new training, remuneration and reward programmes for Axis Cleaning and Support Services employees to further differentiate its services from the mainstream.
