Barnsley Norse has been awarded two new contracts with a combined value of over £910K.
Berneslai Homes who manage homes on behalf of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded Barnsley Norse with a five-year deal to provide cleaning services to the communal areas across 28 sites of Berneslai’s flats and Sheltered Housing schemes.
The contract which is worth around £889k over its term, will commence in May 2015.
Approximately 23 staff will transfer over to Barnsley Norse under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations.
Commenting on the new deal, Ian Broadhead, Barnsley Norse business manager, said:
“This major contract win with a prestigious local organisation is further confirmation of our growing reputation for delivering high quality, competitive services. It means that we have won new business worth over £2.6 million in the last six months.”
Barnsley Norse has also been awarded a two-year caretaking contract at The Ellis C of E Primary School, in Barnsley.
Commencing in early December 2014, the contract valued at £9.5K per annum, includes the provision of security, porterage and basic maintenance services.
