Baroness Ruby McGregor-Smith, the former Chief Executive of Mitie has been appointed as a Senior Adviser at Mace.
In her most recent role in the industry following almost a decade at the helm of outsourcing firm Mitie, Baroness McGregor-Smith will provide independent and external advice to the global consultancy and construction firm and develop the strategy of its facilities management business, Macro.
Speaking about the appointment, a spokesman for Mace said: “In addition to her wide-ranging experience at Mitie, she brings her operational knowledge from Serco Group plc and serving as a non-executive director at the Department for Culture Media and Sport, and recruitment company PageGroup.
“Her role will be broad and will bring independent external advice and challenge to areas across our business, ensuring that we are well placed for profitable and sustainable growth in the future.
“In particular she has been advising us on the refinement of our updated 2022 business strategy, advancing our already market-leading approach to diversity and inclusion, and developing the strategy for our growing facilities management business, Macro.”
