Bennett Hay introduces support network for employee outplacement 

The London-based bespoke hospitality services company, Bennett Hay, has launched a support initiative, Forward Together, for employees impacted by Covid-19.

FWDTogether, which was devised by the company’s Happiness Officer, Susie Cerys, has been created to support, mentor and help up-skill members of the team who have been made redundant, or face the prospect of redundancy.

The initiative is built around a private community and focuses on four pillars: Community Support, Wellbeing, a Foundation Fund and What’s Next. The online resource provides far reaching information and advice along with interactive sessions to help employees navigate a new role or career path.

The group’s clearly defined pillars have been designed to help develop and future-proof each individual’s business skills and also soft skills with support for their personal wellbeing and mental health. The page includes guidance on cv writing and maximising personal profiles on LinkedIn, along with finding job opportunities in the wider industry sectors. FWDTogether’s Foundation Fund will also offer financial support to affected employees who require specific training courses.

Claire Huish, Colleague Services Manager, commented: “We are committed to the team and FWD Together is key to maintaining the camaraderie and spirit we’ve instilled across the business. We will continue with our colleague engagement initiatives and keep the motivational momentum through structure, resource and assistance. We recognise that the last months have been more than challenging, hence, we’re taking ownership to support the team both in terms of their skills but also for their own wellbeing and mental health.”       

Robin Hay, Co-founder of Bennett Hay, added: “We are in a very sad situation where we have had to let some of our talent go through no fault of their own or ours. Hospitality is one of the hardest hit sectors and has been further impacted by offices operating at greatly reduced numbers. As a business we’ve always had a strong focus on our teams and this will continue regardless of the climate. We have an on-going social responsibility to support our people and give them the very best opportunities that we can help with.
