The BIFM Academy has launched its first online training course ‘Introduction to Facilities Management’ designed to help those, who are just moving into or embarking on their first management role in facilities management, acquire much needed knowledge and skills.
The course covers key skills highlighted by employers as needed in the FM sector and also complements the new Facilities Management Supervisor apprenticeship standard (level 3). The programme is aligned to the FM Professional Facilities Management Standards.
Written by an industry expert, the content covers:
- The context of FM
- Managing FM performance
- Managing a team
- Understanding your customers
- How to develop and progress within an FM career
Providing a flexible learning opportunity that fits around the lifestyle of the individual taking part in the course, the course offers interactive learning, real life documents, profiling, case studies and regular reflection points. Once finished a certificate of completion will be received.
The course is available to individuals (both members and non-members) as well as corporate groups on request.
This new addition to BIFM’s education offering is the first of a suite of on-line courses being released through the remainder of 2017 and into 2018.
