Support services firm Carillion has teamed up with contract catering company Elior in a five-year partnership to deliver retail catering to visitors and staff at the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s hospitals.
The new service was launched at Barts Health NHS Trust earlier this month and includes a high street food retail offering, Grab and Go outlets, sit down meal facilities and further variety and choice including locally sourced, seasonal, fair trade options. There is also a focus on healthy choices to further promote health and wellbeing for customers.
Mike Hobbs, managing director of Carillion Health, comments:
“We are delighted to begin our new relationship with Elior. The food quality, variety and service people receive have long been recognised as having a high impact on patient and visitor experience and our new partnership provides us with the opportunity to create a new benchmark that others will aspire to achieve.”
Robin Givens, sales director at Elior UK, adds:
“We bring a passion for food and service to our clients and are very excited to work with Carillion to transform patient and visitor dining and catering facilities. Our approach focuses on healthy eating and accommodates dietary and cultural preference whilst also improving the speed of service as well as dining preferences.”
