Carillion and Joint Venture business, Al Futtaim Carillion have been awarded a number of contracts valued at £400 million in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In Dubai, contracts worth approximately £300 million have been signed by Al Futtaim Carillion to build two major luxury hotels, including Phase IV of the Madinat Jumeirah Resort project, which involves the construction of a luxury 435-room hotel resort for the Dubai based Jumeirah Group. Construction of the hotels is due to commence shortly with a completion date scheduled for 2016.
In addition, Carillion and Al Futtaim Carillion have signed contracts for, or been selected as the preferred bidder for, a number of construction projects in the healthcare, retail, leisure and residential sectors in Dubai and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
