Concord celebrates office luminaire award win

Concord, the architectural lighting portfolio by Sylvania has triumphed at the Lux Awards this year with its innovative new Concord Pixer office lighting solution winning Interior Luminaire of the Year. Held on Thursday 15th November 2018 at the InterContinental O2 in London, the Lux awards celebrate the great talent within the lighting industry as well as rewarding those who have used lighting in exceptional ways to improve the lit environment in which we live and work, reduce energy consumption and help end clients achieve business objectives.

Currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, Concord is renowned for its innovative architectural lighting solutions. Pixer follows this heritage and is another breakthrough solution for smart office lighting, delivering high performance, stylish optics and integral controls in a modular design.

Concord Pixer is a high specification architectural solution which can be laid out in ‘pods’ of square or rectangular form, in either a fully recessed or dropped setting. Featuring glare control to UGR<19 in line with office lighting guidelines and an output of up to 4700 lumens plus versions achieving up to 150 lm/W, Pixer is a highly efficient and aesthetic solution which creates an ambience ideal for generating increased productivity from a sense of well being, whilst providing a platform for the SylSmart wireless energy saving office control system.

The Concord Pixer luminaire is designed with a modular architecture which allows for quick customisation and is available in either recessed or suspended configurations. It provides business owners greater flexibility in both design and control. It is available in varying lumen output levels and comes with three-hour emergency options as required.

It also comes with the SylSmart Standalone Office solution, allowing business owners and occupants to easily control the lighting through an easy-to-use app. Automatic on/off functionality is made possible through the use of sensors and scene setting can all be managed via the app, to create the optimum ambient working environment.
