CooperVision extends Interserve contract

Interserve has secured a contract extension to provide support services to CooperVision, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of contact lenses for a further three years.

Having provided support services for CooperVision since 2009, Interserve will continue to deliver cleaning and grounds maintenance services at the company’s Hamble 15 acre manufacturing site in Hampshire. This includes its 15 manufacturing facilities and laboratories, which operate to clean room standards, and support areas such as maintenance and engineering workshops.

Interserve says it will reduce costs and provide a more environmentally efficient service by delivering a 24/7 service using new, sustainable technologies such as chemical free scrubber driers and pre-dosed chemical cleaning.

Guy Bruce, managing director – infrastructure and industrial, at Interserve said:

“Having developed a strong partnership with CooperVision over the last seven years, we are well placed to understand its particular service requirements. Our focus on service quality will continue to ensure the customer experience is a key priority. Ongoing investment in the latest cleaning technologies will also help us to continue to deliver performance improvements at the Hamble site, while reducing our environmental footprint.”
