Tickets are now available for this year’s ThinkFM conference, which promises to innovate, inspire and influence by focusing on ‘The workplace and beyond: Facilities management’s impact on business, the economy and society’.
Taking place on 13 May 2014 at Kings Place in London, ThinkFM, brought to delegates by the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), will consider whether business leaders and facilities managers are fully harnessing the power of FM for their business.
Speaking on the power of FM, Gareth Tancred, CEO of BIFM, said:
“FM brings together some of the most valuable resources we have as businesses, in an age of globalisation and increasingly scarce resources FM plays a crucial role that affects business, the wider economy and society. Can we do more to act as effective change agents? Effective FM can bring huge gains, not only in productivity, enablement, and risk management but also in corporate social responsibility and positioning your brand. ThinkFM will bring together not only an ‘internal’ audience, but also draw an ‘external’ audience to widen the FM debate.”
On the agenda at this year’s ThinkFM conference is a number of debates including: “Trends in the workplace and working environment – impact on people, practices and workplace design”, “Will an expertise in energy be the difference between winning or losing an FM contract?” and “Productivity is dead, long live productivity?”. Speakers include: Peter Cheese, CEO, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD); Prof John Hinks, global head of innovation CRE & FM, Zurich Insurance; Chris Kane, CEO, BBC commercial projects and Lord Redesdale, CEO, Energy Managers Association (EMA), Carbon Management Association (CMA) and Low Energy Company (LEC).
Furthermore Daisy McAndrew, former Economics Editor for ITV News, will facilitate the conference, sparking debates with further expert speakers and the conference will be covered by ITN Productions.
Early-bird booking for the event ends 14 March.
