Derwent FM has secured a contract to provide hard and soft facilities management services at Saul House in Lincoln.
The 69-bed, newly-built student accommodation scheme was developed in a joint venture by Derwent FM’s parent company, Derwent Living and Westleigh Developments for the University of Lincoln.
Situated in the centre of the city adjacent to the south of the university campus, it is split into three-bed apartments with en-suite rooms and shared kitchens.
Under the contract, Derwent FM will provide a 24/7 helpdesk, energy management services, waste disposal, building maintenance, pest control, security response, postal services, daily cleaning of communal areas and annual deep cleans.
Samantha Veal, Derwent Living’s assistant development director, said:
“Lincoln is an ambitious university with a vibrant student population. We are delighted to be working with Derwent FM to support the University’s plans for growth and the provision of quality accommodation.”
Martin Corbett, managing director, Derwent FM, said:
“We are proud to have added this scheme at the University of Lincoln to our facilities management portfolio. Our mission is to provide first-class services to meet the needs of the University and enhance the student experience.”
The University of Lincoln was founded in 2001 although its roots date back to the 19th Century. It has 11,000 students and 1,300 staff, and is placed in the top half of all UK institutions by the Guardian 2014 University Guide and the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014.
