Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers has awarded site services partner, Elior a five-year deal to create and manage a new food and retail concept at the 433, 637 sq ft Exchange office complex in Salford Quays.
The contract, which forms part of the £10 million refurbishment of the Exchange Quay site to upgrade its six office buildings to Grade A specification, will see Elior work with the site’s project team AA Projects and Keppie Design to create a vibrant working area for both occupiers and visitors.
Development plans include a new restaurant with a live cooking theatre, a Costa Coffee and a retail shop. Elior will also provide a hospitality service to Exchange Quay for meetings and events as part of the contract terms.
Andrew Moffat, fund manager at Hunter said:
“We took the decision to appoint Elior to mange the new amenity offering due to the team’s strong track record and its understanding of what we are striving to create at Exchange Quay. Work is well underway in creating the high quality office accommodation and we want to ensure the amenity offering is equally as impressive.
“It is exciting to be working up the plans for the new food and retail offer and to see how another key element of the development is progressing.”
Tony Winterbottom, sales director at Elior UK commented:
“We bring a passion for service to our clients and we are delighted to be working with the Exchange Quay team on this high profile development as part of its revival. Our new facilities will create the quality environment befitting of the project and will introduce a host of modern facilities for occupiers and visitors to enjoy.”
The refurbishment of the Quay is expected to be completed in Q3 2015.
