EMCOR UK has been awarded a new five-year contract with Novartis UK – the affiliate of Swiss-based Novartis AG, one of the largest healthcare companies in the world. The contract is for integrated facilities management (IFM) for the Novartis portfolio of sites in the UK.
Novartis UK has been a client of EMCOR UK since 2009. The FM firm’s scope of work spans the entire network of Novartis locations in the UK, encompassing eight sites, including facilities in Frimley, Watchmoor Park, Horsham, Grimsby, Liverpool and Dundee.
The IFM contract represents an increased coverage of hard and soft services, including maintenance of product-critical clean rooms and laboratories, fire safety management, project management, catering, waste management services, post room, switchboard, porterage and laundry. EMCOR will also manage Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) air filtration testing and validation, HVAC validation compliance management and specialist high-risk and critical transportation during production, helping to ensure safe movement of product between factories.
