ENGIE grows airport business in Switzerland

ENGIE Switzerland has expanded its business for airports following its acquisition of Priora FM SA from the Priora Group.

Founded in 1970, Geneva-based Priora FM SA handles the management of buildings, infrastructures and performs all facility management tasks for its clients, which includes the airports of Geneva and Zurich as its main customers.

ENGIE expects a growing need for FM services, especially in airports which according to IATA will see passenger volumes double by 2036, bringing with it the need for associated expansion of the infrastructures.

In 2017, ENGIE cumulated a turnover of 300 Million euros with more than 40 airports in the world such as Changi in Singapore, Boston-Logan in the USA, Rome-Fiumicino in Italy, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly in France, Amsterdam Schipol in the Netherlands, Brussels-Zaventem in Belgium or Montreal Trudeau in Canada.

ENGIE’s businesses cover the entire chain, from specific airport services (runway markings, turnkey sorting systems, air traffic control systems, etc.) to more generic systems (security infrastructures, energy, and mobility).

Priora FM SA has also built up an attractive customer portfolio over the last few years, with clients in the leisure, IT and telecom sectors.
