FES lands place on Scottish Water framework

Stirling-based hard FM specialist, FES, has secured a place on Lot 3 of the Scottish Water’s Regional Contractor Services Framework, which covers mechanical, electrical and non-infrastructure services.

The six-year framework attracts an anticipated spend of £500 million, with £224 million in Lot 3.

The work packages cover reactive and planned works, low value, non-complex operational and capital investment projects. FES will deliver these services across water and waste-water assets throughout mainland Scotland regions and Western Isles (plus Northern Isles for reactive services on selected asset types).

FES says its appointment will support the continued employment of existing personnel and create new positions for skilled labour throughout its delivery regions. It added that the contract will also support the creation of new apprentice & graduate positions and allow FES to provide additional mentoring placements for students and graduates throughout Scotland.

The company adds it will hold Regional ‘Meet the Buyer’ events to augment its existing supply chain, particularly in rural regions.

The framework will support Scottish Water’s strategic focus to decarbonise at every opportunity in its drive to be beyond net zero emissions by 2040.  All delivery partners have committed to contribute to this goal through demonstrable carbon reduction calculations for all works.
