Gloster will work closely to help the company continue its global growth and advise on its evolution into a fully-fledged Software as a Service business.
Condeco has worked closely with Gloster for several years, after being introduced to the company by its investor Highland Europe. He was one of the founders of Salesforce.com in Europe, helping the US business enter the market here after joining the US business from Oracle in 2000. After nine years at Salesforce, Gloster moved to marketing technology startup Marketo, as Managing Director Europe. Gloster is also a Non-Executive Director at cloud contact centre company NewVoiceMedia, which was sold to US voice over internet company Vonage for $350 million cash in September.
Paul Statham, Condeco’s Founder and CEO, said: “I’m really excited about Fergus joining our board because there is nothing he does not know about sales and marketing for software businesses. Increasingly, Condeco provides brilliant solutions for organising workplaces through the cloud and software as a service. Fergus will help us to achieve this evolution in a highly competitive market, where technology is enabling so many powerful new solutions for our customers.”
Gloster commented: “This is a great time to be joining Condeco which is building a genuinely global company with a bright future ahead of it as a software as a service company. I’m looking forward to working closely with Paul and the whole team to help the business move into the next stage of growth and ultimately make a difference to people’s daily working lives from San Francisco to Singapore.”
As well as holding senior roles at Salesforce and Marketo, Limerick-born Gloster, who has more than 25 years experience in technology and internet-based companies, is a Non-Executive Director of AMCS, another Highland Europe portfolio company, and a Non-Executive Director of retail management software company Brightpearl.
