Four Seasons replaces 300 contractors with one £33m FM deal

Four Seasons Health Care, a leading independent health and social care provider, has awarded MITIE a three year, £33 million, facilities management (FM) contract, in a deal that consolidates the care home provider’s maintenance and repair services from over 300 providers to just one across its nationwide portfolio.

Under the contract, MITIE will deliver all planned maintenance and call-out repair services to over 500 care homes, hospitals and specialist care units throughout the UK, providing a 24/7 response supported by 40 dedicated engineers and a network of over 700 national mobile engineers. The contract will also employ MITIE’s state-of-the-art monitoring technology, which will provide Four Seasons Health Care with up-to-date site information and data from its estate.

Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE, chief executive of MITIE, said:

“We’re looking forward to forging a strong partnership with Four Seasons Health Care based on innovation and efficiency, to deliver world-class services tailored to their unique working environment.”

Matt Oxley, group director, business support for Four Seasons Health Care, said:

“Providing a safe and well-maintained environment for the people living in our homes is essential to the quality of care we deliver. Our partnership with MITIE – the largest of its kind in the sector – is part of an on-going commitment to invest in maintaining and improving our homes, hospitals and specialist units.

“This is just one of the many initiatives we are driving at Four Seasons Health Care to better support the managers in our homes and hospitals in delivering high standards of care to our residents and patients on a daily basis.”
