Mylor Yacht Harbour in Cornwall has appointed G4S Technology to install powerful new CCTV cameras to support its existing system.
Mylor Yacht Harbour is a centre of excellence for the care and restoration of yachts and motor boats, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, near Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall.
The additional cameras being installed comprise powerful Axis high definition (HD) megapixel pan-tilt-zoom cameras (PTZ cameras).
Furthermore, as part of the contract, all the cameras at Mylor Yacht Harbour will be integrated into G4S Technology’s video management system over a wireless IP network. The video technology deployed will allow the site to monitor activity and record images in high definition.
To support the cameras at night time, additional powerful LED IR flood lights will be installed to provide 360 degrees of illumination, essential in an environment where white lighting is limited. These units require minimal maintenance, are low energy consumption and comply with white light pollution rules.
Stewart Angell, UK managing director of G4S Technology, a provider of building security solutions, said:
“Controlling the access on a site which has numerous points of entrance can be a challenge and we have worked closely with Mylor Yacht Harbour to develop a solution that will ensure the facility remains safe and secure at all times.”
Matt Oakes, systems & development manager, Mylor Yacht Harbour, added;
“With G4S Technology’s capabilities and expertise in deploying first class CCTV technologies, I am confident that we will be able to continue to manage the access control across the Harbour with ease.”
