GRAHAM Facilities Management (GFM) has secured its eighth higher education client, to provide a measured term contract for building maintenance and minor works, including responsive maintenance, for all student accommodation at The University of Edinburgh.
Under the terms of the deal, GFM will also be responsible for the preparation of all properties used as student accommodation into holiday lets over key holiday periods and around core academic and Fringe Festival business.
The on-site team will manage and be supported by a preferred local supply chain.
The University of Edinburgh has a population of over 29,000 students and 7,500 staff, with student accommodation provided at the Pollock Halls of Residence and across a range of flats around the city. Other locations include Easter Bush, the Roslin Institute, the Western General Hospital and Firbush Outdoor Education Centre.
