Following today’s vote by the board of Asset Skills in favour of the proposed merger with the Facilities Management Association (FMA) and the Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA), all three parties are delighted to announce that the merger will now go ahead.
Part of a vision to create a new and consolidated industry body, the new organisation will be a membership body which educates, represents and supports service providers and service users, and which views the end user as an integral part.
Sarah Bentley, Chief Executive of Asset Skills, comments:
“I’m very pleased to announce that the merger now has formal approval. This means that we can forge ahead with our exciting plans. The merger is just the start of a vision for the future of representation in the industry, and consolidation will not end with these three organisations.
I would like to thank everyone involved in the planning of the merger for the tremendous support, hard work and vision. We still have a long way to go, but this is a major milestone which is worth celebrating.”
