Imtech Inviron has won a three-year deal with GKN Aerospace Portsmouth to provide essential planned and reactive maintenance, as well as manufacturing equipment maintenance.
The contract award will see Imtech Inviron manage a team of skilled site-based engineers, who will engage as a strategic partner to drive service delivery and cost performance enhancements.
Noel Clancy, Managing Director, Imtech Inviron said: “We are proud to be expanding our partnership with GKN and our presence at Portsmouth allows the Aerospace Operational team to focus on their core business.
“Our aerospace industry knowledge, coupled with our track record of consistently delivering the basics brilliantly, meant this was a logical next step in our partnership with GKN.”
Mike Hunnisett, Head of Facilities and Maintenance, GKN Portsmouth said: “This is the first site in which GKN, on top of their usual FM services outsourcing, have displayed confidence in allowing Imtech Inviron to also maintain their manufacturing equipment. This really enables GKN to focus on our core operations and the assembly of critical aerospace components.”
