In a move designed to ensure that the company’s focus on social value is formalised across all parts of the business and recognised as a key strategic driver, Laura Phillips, Director of Group HR, it to join the Incentive FM Group board. She has a remit to deliver a holistic social value approach which incorporates commitments to the environment and the communities in which the Group operates.
As Director of Group HR, Phillips has been at the forefront of the Group’s people-based management and its staff wellbeing development since joining the Group over ten years ago under TUPE. Since then, she has been testament to the company’s commitment to developing its existing people and as well as HR and payroll, she now oversees health and safety, compliance and environmental strategy.
The Group has long been identified as a people orientated business with its vision of ‘having staff who love working for us and clients who love working with us’ being the bedrock of its operational decision making. Driving increased social value is now being supported by the Government which has recently announced that its departments will increase the weighting of a social value score when assessing suppliers on the wider positive benefits they bring by delivering the contract. This is designed to ensure value for money for the taxpayer can be maximised while also building a more resilient and diverse supplier base.
