Incentive to support student accommodation development

Incentive Tec, the building services arm within Incentive FM Group, has been appointed to play a key role in a prestigious new development of student accommodation in Dean Street, Bristol.

The multi-million pound development is being built by Atlas Land with backing from Octopus Property. It will include 225-bedroom spaces arranged in self-contained cluster flats, together with ground floor units comprising a cafe, office, and gym floor space, as well as ancillary facilities including communal study space, cycle parking provision and a shared garden.

Incentive Tec will be working closely with the main contractor, national construction business WRW, on the 12-month project and will be responsible for the design and installation of all the mechanical and electrical (M&E) aspects of the accommodation, including CCTV, door access, fire alarms, smoke vents, sprinklers and air conditioning. The remit also includes all plumbing and heating requirements.

Gary Smith, Pre-Construction Director at Incentive Tec, commented: “This is a complex project with a challenging city centre location so co-ordination of all the building services is key. Our proven experience on these kinds of projects will ensure that we can deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.”
