Institute of Hospitality launches Annual Dinner & Awards

After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the Institute of Hospitality’s (IoH) black-tie Annual Dinner & Awards 2022 is back and will take place on 4 July 2022 at Hilton London Bankside with the search to find the very ‘best’ from within the global hospitality industry underway.

This year the awards are open to applicants from across the globe, from any hospitality segment and specialism, across small to large hospitality organisations.

Announcing the dinner and award celebration IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH stated: “This year our awards are global. Hospitality entrants are not limited by their organisation’s size, IoH membership status or location. Inclusivity is key. We want to recognise the ‘best’ talent from across our amazing industry and applaud their achievements and success.”

The international award categories for 2022 are:

Best Educational Programme 2022 – sponsored by HIT Training

This award is open to employers of any size across the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors. It aims to recognise those organisations that can show evidence of an engaging graduate programme, Apprenticeship scheme and/or inspirational student placement scheme.

Talent Development Team of the Year 2022 – sponsored by Amadeus

This award is open to employers of any size across the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors. It aims to recognise teams that can show evidence of outstanding commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), supporting individual professionals at all levels of their career and who have collectively made positive impacts across the organisation.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Employer of the Year 2022 – sponsored by Foodbuy

This award is open to employers of any size across the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors. It aims to recognise employers who have shown an outstanding commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and can demonstrate how it has positively impacted the business and the wider hospitality industry.

Outstanding Contribution to the Industry – sponsored by UGP

Nominations for this prestigious award can only be made by a member of the IoH’s College of Fellows. Fellows can nominate any individual (an IoH member or non-member), from across the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors. This award will be presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

Headline sponsor for this year’s Annual Dinner & Awards is international hospitality technology company and IoH Gold business partner, Planday.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Monday 6 June 2022. Shortlisted finalists will be announced on the evening of Monday 13 June 2022, with the winners being announced at the IoH Annual Dinner & Awards on Monday 4 July 2022.
