The Interiors Group have recently fitted out offices for PIC , deVere Group, who are the world’s leading independent international financial consultancies. Located on Level 27 Tower 3 of Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi, the client wanted an office similar in look, feel and functionality to the Dubai deVere office as well as to facilitate expansion.
The Interiors Group were appointed to fit out the shell and core, it was all amazingly and efficiently completed within weeks of receiving the client brief. From the initial meeting, the client stressed that the design concept should follow the look and feel of the recently completed Dubai Office. A subsequent visit to the office confirmed that the deVere corporate colours of dark blue and white had been predominantly used throughout the space.
Steve Rigby, Divisional Manager of deVere Group commented: “Our new, bespoke, world-class offices, which truly represent the energy, culture and spirit of deVere Group, are a direct result of Interiors Group’s experience, creativity and clear vision. The firm has an ethos of fully understanding the brief before starting a project, pursuing perfection and supreme attention to detail. The Interiors Group have transformed our working environment and delivered with panache.”
The client brief to The Interiors Group for the rest of the floor was to fit out as many large team rooms as possible, so that each room could accommodate approximately thirty members of staff. The Interiors Group have also fitted out a separate training room, plus print and breakout areas. Again the corporate colours were reflected in this area with the furniture and fittings largely in white and the deVere blue being introduced with the use of Interface ‘Swing’ carpet and accent paint to the columns.
The Reception has been ideally located from the lift lobby, making it a logical form of wayfinding for visitors who are greeted into a welcoming reception and client waiting area. The client also requested that the meeting rooms and management offices were to lead directly on from the reception area. It was during this stage of the fit-out that The Interiors Group were presented with some challenges in terms of planning, as the lifts were situated in one of the narrowest areas of the oval floor-plate, however this was quickly resolved. Another challenge was that the position of the reception resulted in limited natural daylight. With this in mind, the finishes in this area were kept as light as possible, using white ceramic floors and furniture. A fresh, bright finish was maximised with the corporate blue only being introduced via the glass and stone feature wall behind the reception desk.
The main, open plan, part of the office is mainly made up of royal blue, contrasting nicely with white background blocks of colour. The Interiors Group chose 12mm thick, tempered polished, frameless glass partitions, using powder coated aluminium U channel fixings and joints filled with clear silicone. This attention to detail by The Interiors Group has created an unobstructed view between all different areas of the office.
Meeting rooms, conference room and private offices for the executives and directors are also included, these areas and the rest of this floor consist of two toned blue carpet tiles throughout. A feeling of luxury quality is added by the use of the upholstered leather executive chairs. The kitchen and breakout point, with its glossy white units and royal blue splash backs and breakfast bar stools, is fresh and inviting.
The Interiors Group have 27 years’ experience delivering stunning commercial environments. They are widely proven and trusted by both clients and professional project managers to deliver business environments on time and on budget.
