ISS engineers stay on at the Southbank Centre

The Southbank Centre, one of London’s most iconic arts centres sited on the banks of the Thames, has extended its engineering contract with ISS Facility Services.

Southbank Centre is the UK’s largest arts centre, occupying a 21-acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter.

For the last three years, ISS has been delivering a full range of mechanical, electrical and fabric services to the site, including planned and preventative maintenance, lighting and refurbishment services.

Under the new contract, ISS will continue to provide engineering services to site, which is home to the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and the Hayward Gallery as well as The Saison Poetry Library and the Arts Council Collection.

Ray O’Halloran, director, estates & facilities Southbank Centre, said:

“We wanted to ensure that we are utilising the 21 acres to their full potential. ISS has supported us in maintaining and servicing the space efficiently and effectively.”

Gary Kidd, managing director, ISS FS Integrated Solutions added,

“The ISS team at the Southbank really thrive on working for such an inspirational venue and supports the centre’s vision of becoming the world’s most inspiring centre for the arts.”
