ISS Facility Services UK has announced the appointment of Ian Baxter as its UK waste services director. The newly created role will focus on the expansion of the waste management aspect of the ISS UK operations.
Baxter brings over 15 years’ experience in the waste industry sector. In his previous roles, he has directed projects for a wide range of public and private sector organisations within the outsourcing industry, and has created a waste management division from initial concept, to a business that generated revenues of £30million per annum within five years.
Baxter’s remit with ISS will cover UK operations and supporting key global projects.
Thomas Kempf, managing director, cleaning UK & Ireland, commented:
“Ian brings a wealth of strategic acumen to the role. His appointment will be invaluable in the ISS goal to be one of the world’s leading integrated FM (facilities management) partners. With Ian’s expertise, we’re expanding the waste management facet of our overall integrated service provision.”
“The waste and environment sector is one of increasing significance, whilst creating an increasingly complex landscape for organisations to navigate. Due to tougher legislation, environmental impact and cost, waste management has greater C-Level management importance. I’m excited by the opportunity with ISS to create innovative approaches to develop world-class solutions for the benefit of ISS, our clients and the community.”
