ISS scores a double ‘top rating’

Global facility services provider, ISS, has been awarded ‘top ratings’ by both the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BISCs).

The company, has received the highest global outsourcing rating from the IAOP, achieving four full stars in each of the four categories: size and growth, delivery excellence, programs for innovation and CSR.

The stars are based on a thorough assessment of the top global outsourcing companies from all industries, including companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, Tata Communications and others.

In previous years, IAOP has ranked the companies on a global list placing ISS as the world’s no 1 outsourcing service provider in 2013 and 2014. This year, the association has changed its procedure to star ratings, and once again, ISS has achieved the highest possible acknowledgement along with a few other companies.

Michael Corbett, IAOP chairman, commented:

”Being named to The Global Outsourcing 100 list, and achieving “full-star – highest rated’ in four judging categories is no easy task. The four full stars say something very significant about the consistency of ISS’ performance.”

Jeff Gravenhorst, Group CEO of ISS, said:

“510,968 colleagues keep ISS at the global top of the outsourcing industry. We will keep working to deserve our top rating and even more importantly, to stay the preferred provider for our customers.”

This year, IAOP included separate evaluations of programmes for Innovation and CSR.

Gravenhorst continued:

“I am very pleased of our high-scores in these categories. Innovation and corporate social responsibility have always been key priorities for ISS, and they are crucial to our long-term business opportunities.”

Richard Sykes, CEO of ISS Facility Services, UK and Ireland added:

“We’re very proud to again be ranked among the top outsourcing organisations in the world. Our work incorporating our community, clients and people has helped us toward this incredible achievement. We’ll continue to innovate and develop new ways to support our customers to achieve excellence in our journey to becoming the World’s greatest service organisation.”

The entire top 100 list including honours will be published in a special Fortune 500 feature in June.

ISS-CleaningISS Facility Services has also been ranked, ‘Best in Class’ by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). The award is made by the BICSc to recognise excellence in cleaning achieved by its Accredited Corporate Members.

Accredited Corporate members follow the BICSc Code of Practice, training their cleaning operatives to BICSc accredited standards, which allow these organisations to become part of the Best in Class programme. Members must pass the necessary courses to attain relevant certificates which include: Skills from Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite (CPSS), Professional British Institute of Cleaning Science (PBICSc) Cards and Technical Certificates.

The ISS drive for excellence is embraced by its cleaning ethos. Frontline cleaning operatives go through the BICSc system whilst the majority of managers have also passed through the programme to help embed and maintain the highest cleaning standards.

Thomas Kempf, CCO Single Services with ISS Facility Services UK and Ireland said:

“This ranking is a great achievement for our cleaning teams across the organisation. It’s an indication of how strongly we take our responsibility to provide excellence in training. Not only does it benefit the service we deliver to our clients, it also has positive impact on employee skills and engagement. With training centres across many of our client sites, we’re able to establish a robust training regime across the business.”

ISS has been a member of the organisation since 2001.
