Johnstone’s Trade launches StainAway

All-in-one paint contains market-leading Stain Blocking Technology which permanently isolates and covers stains

Johnstone’s Trade has announced the launch of StainAway – the innovative, all-in-one wall and ceiling paint that’s guaranteed to tackle the toughest of stains and provide a lasting, flat matt finish. Developed from customer feedback, StainAway is ideal for any renovation or refurbishment project.

StainAway contains Stain Blocking Technology which permanently isolates and covers stains – including smoke damage, nicotine staining and water damage. Acting as a primer and finish in one, StainAway removes a step in the decoration process, ensuring that works can be completed efficiently and rooms can be returned to service quickly. It also has a class 1 scrub resistance, high opacity and will leave a desirable flat matt finish.

With normal wall coatings, tough stains can penetrate through even newly painted surfaces, quickly becoming visible again and ruining a finished design. StainAway uses cross-linking polymer compounds in the paint layer, which permanently isolate stains and prevent any penetration through the surface, guaranteeing coverage and extending maintenance cycles.

Helen Tiplady, Specification Marketing Manager at Johnstone’s Trade, said: “StainAway is a great innovation for the paint market. It’s a problem-solving product; permanently covering up tough stains and speeding up the turnaround time on a job by acting as a primer and finish in one. It also delivers a durable flat matt finish, creating a desirable, contemporary aesthetic.”

StainAway is available in Brilliant White, as well as all pastel shades, including those in the new Johnstone’s Trade Voice of Colour Palette, and comes in 2.5ltr, 5ltr and 10ltr sizes.
