Julius Rutherford & Co (JR&Co) has been appointed as the cleaning contractor for The House of St Barnabas, a social members club and employment academy based in a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse in Soho.
Formerly known as the House of Charity, the House of St Barnabas, which is notable for its rococo plasterwork interiors and for other architectural features has been run as as charity since 1862 to help those who have experienced homelessness get back into work. The not-for-profit members club at the House of St Barnabas opened in 2013.
Specialists in cleaning grade listed buildings, JR&Co has used its experience of cleaning prestigious London buildings including The Honourable Society of the Inner and Middle Temple Estates.
The JR&Co staff working at St Barnabas House were trained in enhanced sanitisation during Covid-19 and mobilised the contract on 17 August, beginning with a thorough deep clean of the site, followed by a sanitisation clean using the Clorox 360 system to ensure a Covid-19 secure environment.
Under the contract terms, JR&Co is now delivering a routine evening clean along with periodic carpet cleaning, waste management and window cleaning services.
