Six facilities management firms have been shortlisted for a multi million pound property management contract with Lincolnshire County Council.
The selected bidders for the local authority’s contract worth between £6-£10 million per year, comprise Babcock Support Services Limited; Cofely Workplace Ltd; EC Harris LLP; Interserve (Facilities Management) Ltd; NPS Property Consultants Limited, and VINCIMouchel.
The authority is currently tendering for a variety of property services, including facilities management, energy and environmental management, estates management, management of Travellers’ sites, property records and catering.
Pete Moore, executive director for resources & community safety, said:
“We’ve carefully assessed the initial bids and we’re confident that we’ve chosen companies to go through to the next stage that can best meet our needs. These companies will now produce more detailed bids for us to consider at the final evaluation.”
The final bids for the property services contract will be submitted in May, with the final decision expected in September 2014.
The contract will begin in April 2015, initially for five years with the option to extend to a maximum of 10 years based on the performance of the provider.
