Malaysian delegates to benefit from integral property innovation advice

Integral’s Mark Whittaker

Integral UK’s business development manager, Mark Whittaker, has been invited by Liverpool John Moores University and the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia to be the key speaker at a prestigious industry event in Pahang, Malaysia in November.

The speech will be discussing the role of innovation in property lifecycle and the built environment and will be delivered to around three hundred delegates.

The Malaysian Facilities Management Sector is generally viewed to be around fifteen years behind the more mature UK market and the speech will be an opportunity to share the knowledge, experiences and latest innovations to the delegates.

The event will be the latest in several collaborative projects Integral have been working with Liverpool John Moores University School of the Built Environment on. This has already involved a research project on BS11000 on Collaborative Partnerships, delivering FM lectures to UK and foreign student, assisting in student dissertations and providing work placements.

Mark Whittaker commenting on the invitation commented: “I am extremely grateful to Liverpool John Moores University and Nazali (Naz) Mohd Noor in particular for their kind invitation. Naz was invited to speak to visiting University of Malaya students earlier this year and there seemed to be a keen desire to learn from the UK FM experience and to follow a career in the industry. This invitation to speak is a real honour for both myself and Integral and am really looking forward to it.”

The Malaysian Regional Construction Week Conference will run from 23-25 November.
