Maxim FM, a provider of cleaning and facilities management services to public and private sector clients has secured two major local authority contracts.
Maxim has signed a four-year partnership agreement with Lancashire County Council which will see it deliver a range of services across the region. The Sunderland-headquartered business has also been awarded a framework agreement with Liverpool City Council.
Graham Conway, founder and MD at Maxim Facilities Management, commented: “We are already well-established as the North East’s largest independent cleaning and facilities management firm, and these latest contract successes very much reaffirm this position.
“As well as bringing new clients on board around the UK, we’re also seeing many existing customers signing contract extensions and renewals, which is the best possible testament to the quality of service that our team provides.
“We’re aiming to keep increasing our overall workforce as the business expands, both organically and potentially through acquisitions if the right opportunities come up.”
Over the last year, Maxim has grown its presence in South West England following its acquisition of the cleaning division of Swindon-based Gillsbrook FM in June 2018, and increased its workforce by around 100 people to 1,300 employees, 500 of whom are based in the North East.
The company is already working with a number of growing and well-known businesses including Hitachi, Paragon Group, Quorn, Gentoo and the Scottish Prison Service, and is expecting annual turnover for the business to reach £11.5 million for the next financial year.
