Maxim FM expands its offering with second acquisition

Maxim Facilities Management, one of the North East’s largest independent contract cleaning and facilities management companies has this week announced its second acquisition within only a matter of months.

As part of its growth strategy to position the company as a nationwide business, Sunderland based company Maxim, has acquired commercial cleaning and window cleaning contractor Ross Cleaning Services, located in Glasgow.

Trading for over 80 years, Ross Cleaning Service has an excellent reputation with a long established client base which includes schools, local authorities and housing associations.

The business will continue to trade as Ross Cleaning Services as a division of Maxim, and clients will be serviced from a Glasgow based office with dedicated management support.

Commenting on the new acquisition, Graham Conway, managing director of Maxim said:

“The acquisition expands Maxim’s geographical coverage and demonstrates commitment to growing a national business whilst still providing a local service to clients‘.

“Like Maxim, Ross Cleaning Services is a family business with very similar core values and an excellent reputation for delivering high quality service, and the fact that the business has been trading for over 80 years is testament to this.  Given the history and traditional values of Ross Cleaning Services, we will be continuing with the name as a trading style for our Scotland operations. This underpins our commitment to serving clients locally and the continuation of the traditional family values that Ross has demonstrated throughout its trading history.

“The aim of both Ross and Maxim has always been, and will continue to be, about providing our clients with tailored service packages that deliver first class results. As we continue to grow, we will constantly work to add significant value to our growing client base and we have some very exciting developments ongoing to ensure we continue to position ourselves as a key strategic partner to our clients.”

The purchase of Ross Cleaning Services follows on from a local acquisition made by Maxim earlier in 2014, when Maxim acquired the contract cleaning division of South Shields based Newlife Cleaning Systems (North) Ltd.  The company is on track to achieve annual revenues of £5 million, with further organic growth expected following the appointment of a new sales director.
